Daniel has been the lead church planter of Beloved Community Church since its launch in 2014. Originally from Virginia, he completed his MA in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL, before moving to Chicago in 2011 to help with another church plant. He has a heart for shepherding, sharing the gospel, and worshiping with his congregation. Daniel has led the church through many seasonal and locational changes, most recently being the upheaval that has come from the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the different seasons, Daniel can testify to the Lord’s faithfulness and is looking forward to seeing what is in store for the next season. Daniel and his wife, Kate, have been married since 2015. They have three children, Benjamin, Laura Grace, and Clara. The Chung family enjoys spending time with friends, traveling to visit family, and finding good Chicago restaurants. Please pray that God will continue to strengthen their marriage and family as they serve the church together.
